Roz Tepper’s work usually focuses on the people of a specific area. This past October she traveled to various parts of Namibia on safari where she observed animals in the wild and recorded their behaviour. She witnessed both lions and cheetah at a kill, which was a terrifying and exhilarating experience. This allowed her to compare the behaviour of the animal kingdom to man. There were remarkable similarities and striking differences.
Roz Tepper has been a member of Gallery 44 since 2005 and has been participating in the Toronto Contact Photography Festival for the last 5 years. A former teacher of literature and art, she now spends her time travelling and working on her MFA in Photography at Maine Media College.
